Examples of the Overwhelming Use of Ads on Facebook

As Facebook has grown and expanded, it has rapidly been increasing the use of ad space. This is especially apparent leading up to the site going public and investor's desire for monetization. At what point though do ads become too invasive? With the extensive use of current ad locations on Facebook, I personally am worried for the future of Facebook's layout and hierarchy. Especially in consideration of the announced "sponsored posts" coming to Facebook's News Feed.
